Who We Are
Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited is a holding company which, through its subsidiaries, is engaged in property & casualty insurance, reinsurance and investment management. The company was founded in 1985 by the present Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Prem Watsa and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.
As Fairfax expands its business in India, it intends to give back to the country in a meaningful way. With this intent, Fairfax India Charitable Foundation was established in Mumbai on November 9, 2016. The charter of the foundation is to undertake charitable activities that deliver measurable social impact among India’s poorest and help create a sustainable ecosystem for the local community.
As Fairfax expands its business in India, it intends to give back to the country in a meaningful way. Mr. Madhavan completed his MBA from George Washington University, undergraduate degree from American University of Beirut and schooling at the Cathedral and John Cannon School. Madhavan has a varied background having commenced his career in Grindlays Bank and subsequently worked in Citibank, Emirates Bank and in the Financial Services Division of the Aditya Birla Group like Birla Global Finance Limited and Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company.
During his tenure as the Managing Director, Thomas Cook has expanded its network to 92 cities in India and acquired six companies namely Kuoni India & Hong Kong, LuxeAsia, Quess Corp (formerly IKYA Human Capital Solutions Pvt. Ltd.), Sterling Holidays, LKP Forex and Travel Corporation (India) Ltd., Kuoni’s Global Destination Management network, Tata Capital Foreign Exchange and travel services companies.

In his 21 year journey from Management Trainee to Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Iyer has contributed significantly to the Company’s Foreign Exchange business (across functions of operations, products, projects, airports and commercial) and the Visa & Passport vertical and was also responsible for the overall strategy for the company.
Mr. Iyer holds a Masters degree in Marketing Management from JBIMS and has successfully completed a Business Management degree from IIM-Calcutta.
Besides his overall corporate leadership role, Mr. Iyer also directly manages the Foreign Exchange business across India, Mauritius and Sri Lanka.

Mr. Rambhau R. Kenkare is President & Group Head - Legal, Secretarial & Administration of Thomas Cook (India) Limited, India's leading integrated travel and travel related services company. Mr. Kenkare joined Thomas Cook in 1998 as Head - Legal & Company Secretary. He is responsible for Legal, Secretarial, Corporate Governance, Compliance and Administration related matters of the Company in India, and its subsidiaries in Mauritius, Sri Lanka, India, Hong Kong, branch offices in London, New York, Tokyo and representative offices in Barcelona, Beijing and Osaka.
Rambhau Kenkare has about 27 years of experience in the travel, courier & cargo airline, passenger airline and manufacturing industry having worked with Blue Dart Express Limited, Blue Dart Aviation Limited, Damania Airways Limited and Ceat Limited.
Rambhau graduated in Commerce and Law, post which he became a Fellow Member (FCS) of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators, London (ACIS), and is a Member of The Indian Council of Arbitration (MICA) and The Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals, USA.

Debasis Nandy, 50, is a Chartered Accountant and a Finance Professional. He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Debasis has been a part of the Executive Development Programme at Wharton and London Business School.
Debasis has been with Thomas Cook, India since 2008 and is presently Chief Financial Officer & President - Commercial. He has over 25 years of diverse experience in the field of Finance & Accounts, with stints at Piramal Healthcare, Aviva, ICI and Indian Aluminium.
Debasis is responsible for the Finance and Commercial functions of Thomas Cook India.
With his expertise and diverse experience, Debasis plays a significant role in the performance of the Company and is a key member of the Group Management Committee.

Mr Maheshwari joined Fairbridge Capital, Mumbai, Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited’s and Fairfax India Holdings Limited’s India investment arm in 2011, from its inception.
Prior to being named the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Fairbridge Capital in 2018, Mr Maheshwari has been involved in and been a critical part of building the Fairbridge Capital organisation.
During his tenure at Fairbridge Capital, Mr Maheshwari has sourced, evaluated and recommended most of the transactions completed by Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited and Fairfax India Holdings Limited. He also played a key role in the completion of these transactions and is involved in the monitoring of the portfolio companies.
Mr Maheshwari was a key member of the team that completed, among others, Thomas Cook (India) Limited, Quess Corp Limited, Sterling Holiday Resorts (India) Limited, IIFL Holdings Limited, Bangalore International Airport Limited, National Collateral Management Services Limited and Fairchem Specialty Limited. Mr Maheshwari was also involved in sourcing, evaluating and negotiating a deal to acquire a majority stake in Catholic Syrian Bank.
Mr Maheshwari belongs to Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited’s Young Leaders Program (attended in 2016), a program to identify and groom future leaders for Fairfax and its companies worldwide.
Prior to joining Fairbridge, Mr. Maheshwari was at KPMG in India in their audit and accounting advisory practices. Mr. Maheshwari is a recognized accounting expert, with particular strength in translating between Indian GAAP, U.S. GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, and Bachelor of Commerce & Master of Commerce degrees from the University of Mumbai.

Amit Madhan is the President & Group Head - Technology & Shared Services at Thomas Cook (India) Limited, India's largest integrated travel and travel related financial services company. He joined the Company in 2012 and is responsible for a diverse portfolio, spanning IT Services, E-Commerce and Shared Services for the Group. His passion for customer experience has been the catalyst behind his strategic initiatives including processes reengineering enabling smooth operations, digitisation and online customer acquisition-retention.
Prior to Thomas Cook India, Amit was part of the Fairfax Group since 2002, being one of the founder members of ICICI Lombard. He has worked extensively in the Financial Services domain and then moved to the eCommerce space in 2007. He is credited with having set up www.icicilombard.com- the pioneering E-Commerce portal in the insurance sector.
Amit is an Economics Honours graduate from Delhi University and an MBA from Sydenham College, Mumbai.

Mona is responsible for the Strategy, Leadership Development, Employee Engagement and other HR functions at the Group level. She also leads Thomas Cook (India) Limited's Centre of Learning, an initiative to hone and develop talent for the company as well as for the sector as a whole.
Prior to Thomas Cook, Mona was the HR Director and member of the Advisory Board of ASK Investment Managers Pvt. Ltd., a boutique company in the financial services sector renowned for its strong research based investment advice. Her role entailed leading the HR and Administration function for the group companies which included - Private Equity, Real Estate PE, Wealth Advisory, Portfolio Management and International Business.
Before her stint in ASK, she was with Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd. as General Manager - Employee Engagement & Europe Liaison, where she managed the Global Corporate HR team spread across various locations in India and overseas. Additionally, she has done some pioneering work in the areas of Employee Engagement, Global Policies & Processes, Leadership development, Diversity & Inclusivity, Compensation & Benefits, HR Audit & Process automation. Besides Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd., her repertoire includes stints with NIIT and the ESSAR group. In the past she has also provided consulting services in the areas of HR Strategy and Systems.
While Mona has a rich and varied experience of over 25 years, her wide exposure and expertise in the entire gamut of Global HR functions & Leadership development is currently being used at Thomas Cook India Ltd. to further strengthen, develop & build employee capabilities.
Moreover she is an expert in behavioral sciences and personally imparts training in various Leadership development areas. She has also been associated with top notch management schools some of which include TISS, Symbiosis, SP Jain, IIFT, Welingkar etc., as a guest lecturer. She is also a key speaker at various NHRD, NASSCOM & other related industry forums in the areas of Diversity and Inclusion. She is currently the Chair of the Women in Leadership Committee of the Bombay Management Association whose focus is to design, develop and deliver initiatives to help build confidence and capabilities for women in Corporate India.

Maria Ng is currently the Managing Director, Kuoni Travel (China) Ltd. As part of her current role she is responsible for developing strategic business plans, achieving short and long term organization objectives & directing strategies towards the profitable growth and operation of the company.
She has handled various leadership positions in Kuoni Travel. She joined Kuoni in 1997 and has been the Deputy Managing Director and the CFO before taking up the current role.
Prior to this she was with P&O Asia, where her last assignment was in the capacity of Financial Controller & Company Secretary.
Maria holds a Bachelors of Business Administration/Management degree.
